Why we care

We can always learn from sharing with other people working in the same field. That’s why the true essence of Impact Talks lies in the vibrant community of passionate individuals who come together to learn, share, and grow.

Their collective wisdom and experience drive the success of the initiative and the advancement of fundraising practices.

The telemarketing fundraising sector currently lacks a dedicated platform for continuous professional development and knowledge exchange.

This gap hinders our collective growth and innovation.

To address this, we're launching a community with five annual virtual events, providing a persistent space for connection, dialogue, and learning.

We're not just seeking answers; we're dedicated to identifying the right questions that will drive our sector forward.

Q&A

Is it a paid community?

Yes. We believe in bringing together the right people to facilitate meaningful connections and curate valuable content. Keeping a great Impact Team running costs money.

Can you join one and not the other?

Yes, you can choose to join either Telemarketing Tuesday or the Impact talks community, or both. Although they focus on different areas of knowledge, they are interconnected and offer valuable insights into fundraising.

Will we meet in person one day?

Yes, we aim to organise in-person meetings in the future. Our goal is to partner with national or international fundraising interest organisations that have the resources and expertise to facilitate such gatherings.

Do you pay speakers?

Yes. This is to foster inclusion for everyone. As we expect high quality from our speakers, it stands to reason that they should be paid. As a speaker you can choose to send us an invoice; donate your fee to a charity of your liking or use the fee to take part in our invitation-only annual meet-up for speakers, promoters and the advisory board.

Who is behind Impact-talks?

Impact-talks is led by Jacob Møllemose, a Danish fundraising consultant. While I provide consultancy services in this field, my ultimate ambition is to make a community where knowledge and expertise in private donor fundraising can thrive.

Our main activities

We run five annual events, each dedicated to highlighting and exploring different aspects of fundraising.

These events serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, discussion, and networking among fundraising professionals.

Between these events, the dialogue continues in our online community.

Here, members can discuss the diverse challenges and opportunities that arise in the world of fundraising, providing support and insights to one another.

We as a sector don’t have the investments that other sectors have, but we have the desire to share and grow – this is one of our competitive advantages.
